Michael G. Halvorson was born in 1974 in Fargo, North Dakota. He graduated high school in 1993 and went to Concordia in Moorhead for his undergraduate studies. At Concordia, Mike played football and graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology in 1997. Mike subsequently attended Hamlin Law School during which time he had the opportunity to clerk for the Dakota County Public Defender’s Office, the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office and a private construction litigation firm. In 2001, Mike obtained his juris doctorate and was admitted to the Minnesota State and Federal Bars. In 2002, Mike joined Johnson, Larson, Peterson & Halvorson as an associate and was made partner in 2008. In 2015, Mike formed Halvorson Langemo & Paschke, which ultimately became Halvorson Legal.

While Mike has gained valuable experience litigating cases in many areas of the law, he has developed a real affinity for helping individuals and families with alternative dispute resolution as mediator, arbitrator and early neutral evaluator under Rule 114.

Mike is a member of the Tenth District Bar Association, the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Minnesota Association for Justice and the American Arbitration Association Panel of Arbitrators. In addition, Mike is an appointed the Chair of the 18th District Ethics Committee and he has served on the Wright County Early Neutral Evaluation steering committee since its inception.

In his free time, Mike enjoys running, sports, movies, traveling and spending time with his wife and children.
